Duke the Greyhound Has Been Homed

Duke is a fantastic 6 yr old lad.  He has lived in a home for the past 15 mths but sadly has come back in as he is a strong lad on the lead and needs some patience and reassurance around other breeds of dogs due to anxiety and worry when near them. He needs a home where someone will give him the time he desperately deserves to help him overcome his anxieties. He has a wonderful temperament and great in the home.  He’s a gorgeous boy.  When we reassess him we can tell you more!! Watch this space!

JD the Greyhound Has Been Homed

JD is looking for a forever home due to a change in family circumstances.  He is currently still with his family so if you are interested in meeting JD he is NOT at the kennels so let me know and a meeting can be arranged once your homecheck is done.  He is a lovely happy 7 yr old lad who is currently living with a small kitten.   NB  We are extremely careful when advertising a greyhound who appears cat friendly with the cats he has met.  They can be great with one cat and dislike another so if you are thinking of rehoming any greyhound and you have cats, precautions are an absolute essential.  Not dog can ever be called cat friendly with 100 percent certainty.

He loves to lie on the sofa and chill out through the day and is use to sleeping upstairs in the bedroom, on his bed, at night. He does suffer from corns on his feet which will need to be assessed when he comes out of his current home.  They are currently being managed at home but he needs to wear boots to make walking a little more comfortable.  The RGT will support the new owners in the care of his ongoing corn treatment.  JD prefers to lounge around all day and needs help getting in and out of the car but i think once his corns are sorted this will help him be out of pain and hopefully result in a pain free life.

Christmas Dinner at the Kennels

Well some of our hounds that are nearly ready for homing had a wonderful Christmas day and just look at their dinner!!!!  Thought you would like to see Sammy tucking into his Christmas nosh.  His little face lit up when he saw it!!!  Sammy will be up for homing in the new year so watch this space!!  A huge thanks you to the kennels and the people who raised the funds to provide these special hounds with a meal to remember. x

Shale the Greyhound Has Been Homed

Shale is a wonderful little 3yr old girl who has a wonderful happy personality and a joy to be around. She has come back in to our care as she pulled a little on the lead but a little training and a body harness would have sorted the problem. Don’t let that put you off though as she was perfect in every other way!!  She deserves her forever home now and I bet its not far away for this stunning little girl.

Would be great as part of a loving family and fun to be around.  She is great with other dogs she has met.  Little Miss Amy needs to be walked on a harness as she can wriggle out of any collar and a harness will be given to her new owners on rehoming. Please give Amy a chance as she’s a wonderful girl
