Just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone at Walton Vale, Liverpool Vets 4 pets and their customers for the generous donations gifted to the branch. We hope you had a wonderful time meeting the hounds and thank you from all of us for the work you do and the help in caring for some of the needy hounds in our care. Merry Christmas to you all and thank you!!! X
Lovely to see Redley and Tony opening their present boxes from the fabulous Malamute Matters charity who kindly sent them their special parcels. They are going to share their gifts with everyone but we had to give them first choice of gifts. Redley couldn’t make his mind up but Tony picked the pink elephant straight away and wanted to take hom back to his kennel as quickly as possible! Thank you Malamute Matters from us all here at LBVRGT xxx

Sonny is a 6yr old lad who has been with us a short while. He had to have a major dental as his teeth weren’t in a good state so he has now recovered from that and ready to find his forever home. A lovely boy who would benefit from someone who is use to sighthounds as he is quite alert when out. Sonny has a beautiful nature and enjoys being with you and cuddles. Cold you be the one for Sonny?

We may have a potential home now for Kay
Meet Kay who is 20 months old. After she came into our care it was discovered she has a very irregular heart beat. She was referred to Leahurst Vet Hospital to the cardiology team and she has Atrial Fibrillation, Mitral valve and tricuspid valve dysplasia (which is congenital so was born with the problem, a grade 5 to 6 heart murmur and a VERY enlarged left atrium. She is also in heart failure and a blood test called troponin I came back high which indicates there is damage to the heart muscle.
Little Kay is the happiest soul alive and outwardly she is fine! It is just so unfair. The cardiologists are estimating she may have 6 mths to a year to live now so we need to find her a forever foster home as soon as possible now so she can have the chance of a happy wonderful home where she will be loved, cuddled and cared for now for the rest of her life. She will be fully supported by the branch as she will need to be on 4 drugs for now – digoxin, frusemide, pimobendan and cardalis, and will need regular vet checks. she needs a 24hr heart monitor on in a months time too. Its finding someone who will support her needs both medically and emotionally which is a big ask but we know there is someone out there who would be perfect!!!!
She is the funniest, sweetest little girl you could ever meet! So full of fun and loves to be with you and to be a part of anything going on. All in all, she is just a normal happy soul! Dont think she even knows she isnt well!
Meet Lizzie!!! Lizzie is a wonderful little girl who is only 2 yrs old. She is a lovely cuddly girl who is a joy to be around and great when she goes out and about. Lizzie came to us after she had fractured her hock back at the end of July last year. She is fully recovered now and on no pain relief etc. She love running about in the paddock and there are no ill effects with her hock now. Please give Lizzie a chance as she has been with us a while now while recovering but she is ready to be a part of someone’s family now and she will be a joy to have around.
