Hope you are all well and still staying safe!
We have some news we want to share with you. As you know we have no greyhounds at the moment, due to lockdown, and they have all been rehomed and happy! Sadly, our kennels have had to be sold so this has meant we have had a good think about what we do next. We can’t thank Bernie and Graham enough for the amazing care they gave to the dogs. We couldn’t have wished for a more trusted, dedicated and special couple to have been part of our team. We adore them both, and their family, and we are looking forward to carveries and days out together in the future.
We have all decided that we are going to end on a big high. Nothing fell apart, no incidents have happened, nothing is being hidden. It’s just the right time for me, and Pauline, to take a step back and breathe. There is no one else to take over so it was the only decision we could make. We will still be involved with the trust and looking forward to helping Hall Green GT as a volunteer. Head office have been very supportive and understanding and I can’t thank them enough for that.
The greyhounds who are supported by the trust for vet bills etc will still be supported and we have planned and got authorisation for continued payments for their treatment etc. All the houndies are safe and sorted which was my only anxiety. We want to keep this group though! We will rename it as greyhound walks group so we can all stay in touch and keep smiling. This will begin on 1st June! Hopefully we will do monthly walks and plenty of socials after an awful year of lockdown. I think we all need a bit of fun!!! Pauline and myself will always be there for the houndies so don’t feel you can’t ring or keep in touch. We want you to! If you need help we can always assist in some way so we haven’t gone anywhere.
From us all at Lancashire Greyhound Trust.
